India is a land of diversity and culture. The first Indian festival of the year concluded on the 21st of March. ‘Holi’ also known as the festival of colours. Holi sacredly signifies the end of winter and the beginning of summer. On Holi evening the hindu community gets together in various parts of the country and light a huge bonfire, worship the gods and ask for their blessings and the next morning play with water and colours as celebration.

As for the Indian cyclist, the preparations will commence in full swing from the first week of April for an important race in July that starts off the season and further on the National Championships in November.

Right now it is time to enjoy the last few days of the off season before actually getting back to the grind.
