Smoked, Cracked...done. I am outa here.
The infamous words of endurance athletes as we head into late August and early September. However, there is ONE event still left on the calendar. What the hell do we do? I don't want to train. I don't want to do intervals. I don't want to run, get in the pool or do hill repeats.
What's the resolution? Hang on. Give yourself a ice cream party, pizza party or an adult beverage party the day after that one LAST event.
You could also give yourself a day or two extra off. You will NOT lose fitness in one to two days. Heck, you have been training all season. Survive and keep that focus. It's almost over!
